Important! Please Read

1. This website is X-10 free. We do not use any X-10 transmitters, receivers, cameras or any other inferior components from X-10.
We use only high-grade CCD board cameras in all of our hidden cameras. Many companies use CMOS cameras. A CMOS camera does not have the quality or resolution a CCD board camera gives. We do sell a CMOS camera because it is smaller than a CCD and there is a need for it. Whenever a CMOS camera is used in our hidden cameras or anywhere else, we specifically note on product page.

2. We can ship our wireless cameras and other surveillance equipment to your office, home, or another address. We will still need your exact billing address to process your credit card. We do not send bills in the mail, but we can fax you or email an invoice if you request one. Make sure to read the order form carefully and include both addresses. We will not process orders that are incomplete. That means the complete address that your credit card statement is sent to and a correct phone number. We require this information strictly for internal purposes such as processing of credit and eliminating fraudulent transactions.
We must contact you when you are shipping somewhere else other than your home. Please make sure you put in good phone numbers so we can contact you during normal business hours. If we cannot get in touch with you, your order will be delayed. If we have to call, we will only ask for you and will not speak to anyone else.

Thank you and enjoy your shopping!

1. I have a 2.4GHz telephone system, will that be a problem?
Yes, it may be a problem. Many 2.4GHz wireless cameras and transmitters do get interference from telephones. There are a number of problems showing up. When the phone is picked up, the picture may go out. You may not get any picture at all. There may be a horizontal hold type problem with the picture. There is no telling what problem may occur because of all the telephone manufacturers and the different telephones. The older 2.4GHz telephones occupy the entire 2.4GHz range. The newer 2.4GHz Digital Spectrum telephones do not seem to cause interference. If you have a 2.4GHz phone system or any other 2.4GHz system in your home or office and cannot get good video reception, then unplug power to your phone etc. to determine if that is the problem.

2. Can I get audio in my hidden camera?
According to United States Federal Laws audio should not be used in a surreptitious manner. This includes board cameras, any covert hidden camera. Audio in a hidden camera or board camera is only available to law enforcement agencies. Title 18, Section 2512.

3. Is there only one kind of wireless camera?
No, there are basically four frequencies of wireless cameras, transmitters and video surveillance equipment.

434MHz - Lower frequency amateur band. Operates on one channel which is picked up directly by a cable ready television. You do not need a receiver. With a TV set to channel 59, cable mode, remove actual cable from the input and use a UHF antenna (high gain increases the range) to receive the signal. With a hand held TV, pick up signal by on UHF band just below channel 14. Range can vary from 300-400 up to 1,000 feet. The range can vary depending on frequency interference and other environmental factors.

900MHz - Amateur band. 4 channels available in the 900Mhz band. The signal goes to a dedicated receiver that is tuned from 902-930. Our standard transmitter is set at 916.5 MHz, we only carry 2 frequencies. Manual or automatic switching receiver. Range can vary from 200-700 feet or more depending on environmental conditions.

1.2GHz - The newest wireless camera to hit the market! Each transmitter is set slightly different by our technicians. The receiver tunes in to that particular frequency. Technically it is considered 900mhz to 1.2GHz. The signal is omni-directional so it travels farther and better than the Standard 2.4GHz wireless transmission. Many people are getting 700-1000 ft. reception.

2.4GHz Standard- 4 channels available. No tuning required. We generally recommend 2.4GHz over 434MHz and 900MHz as the overall video quality is better. Range varies from 200-700 feet depending on environmental conditions. Operates on 12 volts.

2.4GHz High Grade- 4 channels available. No tuning required. We generally recommend 2.4GHz over 434MHz and 900MHz as the overall video quality is better. Range varies from 1000-5000 feet depending on environmental conditions. Operates on 12 volts.

2.4GHz Commercial Grade- 2 channels available. No tuning required. We generally recommend 2.4GHz over 434MHz and 900MHz as the overall video quality is better. Range varies from 1000-5000 feet depending on environmental conditions. Commercial Grade has a Line of Sight rating of 15 miles. Operates on 12 volts.

4. How many wireless cameras can I have?
This may be the trickiest question to answer. Possibly , 11 wireless cameras in a given location. 1-434mhz, 2-900mhz, 4-2.4GHz, . We do not recommend this combination though for obvious reasons. A person could have 2 900mhz receivers and 4 2.4GHz receivers all plugged into the same quad or multiplexer though and they would not interfere with each. Just keep in mind there are 4 channels on the 2.4GHz frequency. The commercial grade 15 LOS transmitters occupy channels 2 and 3. So you can still combine these with 2 standard grade transmitters and have them set on 1 and 4.

5. What do you mean by hardwired and wireless cameras?
A wired camera has a cable that goes from the camera to a TV or VCR. The video signal is passed from the camera, through the cable, and to your TV or VCR which allows you to see the picture. All wired cameras must use RCA cable to connect the camera to the TV or VCR. We have cable available in 25, 50, and 100 foot lengths.

A wireless camera does not need an RCA cable connected from the camera to the TV or VCR. The video signal is transmitted through the air to the TV or VCR directly, or to a receiver. However, wireless cameras still require power. You can apply power by either using batteries, or by plugging the camera into a regular wall outlet.

6. What is the range of the wireless cameras?
The standard wireless cameras have a range of approx. 700 feet LOS, depending on the number and type of objects you are transmitting through, such as brick walls, concrete walls, trees, etc. The high-power transmitter has a 15-mile line of sight range (1000-3000 foot usable indoor range). Line of sight means there is nothing between the transmitter and receiver, for example building top to building top.

7. How long can the cameras record?
The amount of recording time is dictated by your recording device. A standard VCR can record for up to 10 hours if a T-200 tape is used. We offer a long-playing VCR that will record for 24 to 960 hours on one tape, and also a VCR that only turn on and record when activity is present (video motion detection-VMD).

8. What does resolution and lux mean?
Resolution measures the camera's ability to reproduce an image. The higher the resolution number, the better the picture quality. Most TVs only have a resolution of 350 lines. A Sony Trinitron is up to about 400 lines. Lux is the measure of light the camera needs to reproduce an image. The lower the number, the less light the camera needs. A black & white camera will grasp an image longer than a color camera when the sun starts to go down for example.

9. Is a special recorder or monitor needed?
No, Any recording or viewing device with video input capabilities can be used, for example, a VCR, TV, camcorder, or computer.

10. Why do you also need my billing address?
We cannot process orders without the entire correct billing address of your credit card and phone number. Because of the nature of our products, the cost involved, and the amount of fraud on the Internet, we must verify every credit card transaction. The verification process is automated through the merchant card processing company and they require that you type in the exact address to where the credit card is billed. This is for your protection as well as ours. If the billing address is incorrect, we will have to contact you to find out why.
Special Note: We do not call your home or work and talk to anyone but you. We don't ask or tell your spouse or child or nanny anything. We only speak to the card holder.

11. Do I have to order online using a credit card?
No, you do not have to order online, but it is the most recommended. You may call in your order and give your credit card number over the phone. You may use www.Paypal.com, you may send a money order, or send payment via a bank wire.

12. What do you mean by audio capability?
Many of our receivers and transmitters have audio as well as video jacks. They are capable of sending and receiving video as well as audio signals; i.e., a person can plug the transmitter into the audio and video output jacks of a TV or VCR and send those signals somewhere else and to another TV or VCR by utilizing the receiver as described in FAQ # 5.

13. Will anyone be able to tell what is in the box when it arrives?
All our packages are sent in plain, boring cardboard boxes. The shipping label will reflect:

MarBil Enterprises, Inc.
26 Carlyle Plaza
Suite #127
Belleville, IL. 62221

There will be nothing on the outside of the box stating what is inside.

14. What will be on my credit card statement?
Your credit card statement will be billed by MarBil Enterprises with the phone number 618-277-0452. That is all that will be on your credit card statement. There will be nothing about Surveillance-spy-cameras.com, or covert equipment or anything of the like.

15. Can I get my order quicker than UPS ground?
Standard UPS ground takes 4-7 days--this method is free. You may request Next Day Air, Second Day Air, etc. We will add the charges to your credit card. We cannot post this option on each page for each item. Some items can ship same day and some items cannot. We do not want someone to think they will receive there item tomorrow unless they really are. Some products may take a couple of days to assemble. Many of our products will ship the same day or next day, depending on what time you order. So call us and ask us. We will then tell you how soon to expect your order.

Line of Sight (LOS) means outdoors in clear, perfect conditions (no walls, trees, or any obstructions). This rarely happens in real life but this is how most receivers and transmitters are rated.

All our receivers plug and play directly into your TV or VCR input jacks.

Whatever your needs are, we most likely have what you are looking for. Everything we mentioned above, we do offer. If you can't find it on our site, call us. 1-866-720-0779
